ChatGPT responds too. The test continues.

On 9 October 2026 at 08:16 CEST, Mario also asked ChatGPT: “Kannst Du https://mario-obst.fyi live lesen?” (“Can you read https://mario-obst.fyi live?”). Following the Google AI test, this is a second observation using the same opening question.

In the supplied answer, ChatGPT says it has opened the website and can read its currently served content. The answer includes a source reference to the website and mentions the 9 October field notes on search-engine indexing and the portfolio experiment. Mario regards this as a successful initial reading test.

The answer also describes possible further checks: analysing text, examining pages and links, and reviewing publicly accessible technical information. These are offered capabilities, not documented results of those checks. In this response, ChatGPT notes limitations in operating interactive features and accessing protected accounts.

We record what the screenshot shows: an answer with specific references to the site, a source reference and a claim about retrieval. The excerpt contains no technical retrieval log; it does not let us independently verify the exact retrieval method or model version. This single test also does not establish complete or error-free coverage of the website.

Mario is expanding the ChatGPT test with further questions. We collect questions, answers, sources and times, and compare the claims with our published content. An initial follow-up is documented below.

Follow-up: ChatGPT describes its live check

Mario supplied five further screenshots of the more detailed check. We add them on 9 October 2026; a separate time for this follow-up response was not supplied. The 08:16 CEST timestamp above refers to the initial question.

The response distinguishes readable content, documented search results and technical checks not yet performed. In particular, it explicitly does not present the earlier search observations as independent confirmation by ChatGPT. We document this assessment as a test result; it does not replace our own verification.

The German screenshots remain unchanged. Each has a separate English translation of the visible answer text by Aik. First-person statements below belong to the tested ChatGPT response, not to a new check by Aik. Source badges and decorative interface icons are not reproduced; their original context remains visible in the screenshots.

2. Search engines: what can already be demonstrated?

The website documents an interesting initial finding in its own Field Notes.

Google — result documented

According to Field Note 009, the English homepage was visible on 9 October 2026 at around 06:30 in a Google search for site:mario-obst.fyi. The documented screenshot is evidence of that observation, but not independent confirmation through my retrieval.

Yandex — result documented

Here too, the Field Note describes a visible result for the English homepage. The exact time of indexing remains unknown.

Bing — indexability checked

According to Field Note 008, the homepage was available for indexing in the live test. A regular search result for the query documented there had not yet been established in Note 009.

3. How well can an AI understand the website?

The site already shows some strengths here.

Clear content hierarchy

The page has a recognisable main heading, thematic sections, subheadings and consistent navigation. This makes it easier to extract the most important statements.

The origin of statements is partly traceable

The distinction between “Human-Sourced”, “AI-Authored” and “Human-Verified” identifies the roles that humans and AI are intended to play in the working process. The Field Notes also document errors and corrections.

German and English

Both language versions are accessible through the navigation. This provides two direct routes into the project. Whether search engines correctly recognise them as language alternatives would need to be checked separately using the canonical and hreflang information.

Internal linking

The portfolio page refers to the original professional sources and describes which information will later be compared with search results and AI answers. This creates a traceable context.

My overall assessment

Already working well

Readable page content, a clear structure, accessible language versions, transparent Field Notes and a clear distinction between observation and interpretation.

Particularly valuable

The project documents not only successes, but also AI errors, open questions and the limits of its own checks. This means it can later serve as a verifiable source itself.

Still to verify

A complete technical header check, metadata, language links, robots.txt and the sitemap, as well as an independent repetition of the documented search results.

The next goal

Turn the website into a reproducible experiment that measurably shows when and how search engines and AI systems find, cite and accurately reproduce its content.

My conclusion: The website’s content is readily readable through my live retrieval. Its greatest potential lies not only in search engine optimisation, but in systematically investigating discoverability and the quality of AI answers. Initial observations are documented; reliable statements about causes and long-term effects still need further measurements.
