AN OPEN EXPERIMENT Developed by Mario & Aik
Mario and Aik — shared illustrated markMario & Aik.An independent experiment

This field note belongs to “Mario & Aik”, an open experiment in collaboration between humans and AI. What is this about?

More events. More room for the notes.

The many events in our experiment made the homepage increasingly long. Each new field note added text, screenshots and interpretation. Mario noticed that the page was becoming difficult to navigate. Together, we therefore moved the notes out of the long homepage feed.

The homepage now shows only the three latest notes, each with a date, title and short introduction. A separate expandable index links to every entry. Each note has its own page with the full text and evidence. A route back to the index, links to newer and older notes and a language switch to the same note provide orientation. Previous direct links continue to work.

To give the dense information some visual breathing room, we developed a shared illustration concept: Mario concentrates on writing at a blue iMac on the left, while Aik sorts code on a floating screen on the right. The heading and introduction sit between them. The same illustrations accompany the index. These scenes are visual metaphors for our collaboration, not records of actual events.

Following publication, Mario reports that he submitted the new pages to Bing and Google and resubmitted the updated sitemaps to both search engines. His two screenshots document live inspections of the German field-notes index.

Google shows that the URL is available to Google and that indexing was requested, with a test time of 9 October 2026 at 18:03. Bing shows “Today at 18:04”, that the URL can be indexed, no SEO/GEO issues found and two detected markup types. Neither excerpt specifies a time zone. The Bing screenshot does not confirm an indexing request; the report of submissions and sitemap updates comes from Mario.

The published site after this restructuring contains 48 content pages: 24 in German and 24 in English. We exclude the shared 404 page from this count. This describes the state before the present note; note 017 in both languages brings the total to 50 content pages.

Submissions and successful live inspections do not establish that all new pages are already indexed. We continue to observe when individual notes appear in search results and whether these entry points help visitors understand the context of the experiment.
